Now Hiring Interns and Instructional Designer

Core Integral is seeking applications for one Instructional designer and three interns to assist our small team of integral educationists in providing critical services and support to an expanding integrally-interested population.

These four positions aim to stimulate latent demand for existing services by expanding their accessibility and reach through new project development, relationship building, and refinement of our educational support offerings. Instructional Designer

We are seeking an instructional designer to guide the creation of digital textbook and audiobook versions of our courses from planning through completion. This is a short- to mid-term contract position with flexible deadlines and deliverables. Options for converting the contract to an ongoing position may exist for qualified applicants whose performance exceeds expectations.


  • Guide e-textbook and audiobook projects from assessment and planning though execution and launch
  • Conduct needs and strategic learning assessments to develop the basis for curriculum and delivery changes
  • Adapt existing instructional content and delivery methods to meet different learner needs
  • Design and incorporate interactive elements to enhance the learning process
  • Compensation is negotiable and based on experience and will likely include a revenue sharing agreement for products produced


  • Theoretical and practical experience with Integral theory along with direct knowledge of Core Integral’s courses is required
  • Strong technical aptitude and/or ability to learn software applications needed to perform technical tasks efficiently and accurately
  • Proficiency (or ability to gain proficiency) in e-book layout software and audio editing software required
  • Professional and/or academic experience in instructional design and adult education
  • Work experience as an instructional designer, educational technologist, e-book producer or related position is ideal
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, strategize, and deliver instructional design projects
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication and organizational skills required
  • Experience with graphic, multimedia, or web design principles is a plus

Intern (3 positions)

We are also seeking to fill at least three intern positions with candidates who have a strong desire to contribute to the Integral vision through direct support of Core Integral’s educational mission. These positions begin with 6 month contracts and include an option to extend. Responsibilities and intern job descriptions will be crafted to meet the aims, desires, and skill sets of qualified applicants and will require between 5 - 10 hours of work per week. The positions are unpaid but will be compensated in several ways: (1) Access to all existing and new Core Integral products and services while employed, (2) Individualized educational support and mentoring for your integral projects, programs, articles, dissertations, etc., and (3) On-the-job training and integral community involvement to serve your future career aspirations in integral or related fields. All applicants who can offer effective service in at least three of the following work areas are encouraged to apply.

Description of Work Areas

  • Translations Project Management: Assist with the launch of a large-scale translation project that will include up to 8 languages. Guide the planning, execution, and talent management of a diverse team of translators and international partners.
  • Web Programming: Assist with new development and refinement of our current web site (Drupal/Ubercart custom install)
  • Graphic Design: Work within established Core Integral aesthetic to serve design needs across all project areas
  • Marketing and Partner Relations: Foster new partner relationships, while servicing existing relationship and assisting with marketing assessment, planning, strategy, and execution
  • Needs Assessment: Create and execute needs assessment and market research initiatives to support all project areas
  • Event Management: Assist with management of all areas of event design, operations, and/or curriculum Content: Assist with all areas of new content production to include writing and editing
  • Research: Conduct research and analysis to support development of new projects (content, web, marketing, etc)
  • Writing: Assist with the writing of course content and marketing copy (requires demonstrated high-level ability to effectively communicate integral concepts to diverse populations)


  • Theoretical and practical experience with Integral theory along with direct knowledge of Core Integral’s courses is required
  • Strong desire to support the Integral vision and the passion to see that through over time
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with light to moderate supervision and a keen attention to detail, aesthetics, and quality
  • Ability to meet commitments under deadlines while working independently and with a team
  • Demonstrated ability and professional/educational experience in at least three of the aforementioned works areas
  • Strong technical aptitude and/or ability to learn software applications needed to perform technical tasks efficiently and accurately (as required to meet job responsibilities)
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication with the ability to successfully articulate complex concepts to a variety of learners, clients, and communities
